Glaucoma & Eye Disease Management

Glaucoma is silent — most patients have no symptoms until significant vision loss has occurred. We screen, diagnose, and monitor glaucoma and other ocular disease — including macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy — using best-in-class imaging and visual field testing.

What's included

Everything this visit covers.

Serial OCT imaging of the optic nerve and retinal nerve fiber layer

Threshold visual field testing

Macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy monitoring

Intraocular pressure (IOP) monitoring across the day

Topical therapy initiation and titration

Timely referral to ophthalmology and long-term progression tracking

Good to know

Understanding your care.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is a group of conditions that damage the optic nerve, often linked to rising fluid pressure inside the eye. The most common form — open-angle glaucoma — progresses so slowly that many people notice nothing until significant vision is already gone. Routine comprehensive exams are the most reliable way to catch it before that point.

Macular degeneration

Age-related macular degeneration affects the central part of the retina — the area responsible for fine detail. There are two forms: a slow-progressing dry type tied to natural aging, and a less common wet type involving abnormal blood vessels behind the retina. Both benefit from early detection and regular monitoring.

Diabetic retinopathy

Diabetes can gradually damage the small blood vessels in the retina, usually in both eyes, and often without early symptoms. Steady glucose, blood pressure, and cholesterol control — combined with regular dilated exams — make a real difference in slowing it down.

Why early detection matters

These conditions share one thing in common: vision lost to them generally cannot be restored. That is why we monitor over time with imaging and visual field testing — so we can begin treatment, or refer you to an ophthalmologist, before damage becomes noticeable.
